civil liberties will be temporarily suspended.
Due to the war on poverty
we will ignore treaties banning torture.
Due to the war on Christmas
we will imprison people without charges,
without the ability to confront their accuser,
without a judgement by their peers
(unless their peers are kangaroos),
indefinitely.
Due to the war on drugs
newspapers will carry only stories of natural disasters,
blue collar crimes,
heart-warming vignettes
and government approved
press releases.
Due to the war on reason
we will call the occupation of an oil rich land
a war on terror.
