Forgetting War
by Regina Kandraska

We remember...
and we talk about what we have not seen.
We say we know the pain,
that we have not felt,
and feel the brutality,
that you got and gave.

We lament the circumstances of the war -
such an awful thing...
We pray for an end and decree
that it should never be, again...
until, again.
