Sitting in a green leather chair -
The type they put out in Hastings or Barnes and Noble -
Catching the book-flies like me
Sitting around
Looking for god, or God, or G-d
In the theology section
Prefering of course the cheaper prices marked
The economy is bad these days.
I can't afford enlightenment.
So clearance looks
Better all the time.
They say God Is Great
While bullets from Muslim bullies
Rip them to shreds
But here in the franchised borrowed
Chair of small nothings, nobodies, no accounts
We look for bargains
And then move on
Not buying a thing...
But waiting
All the same.
It will be here soon
The Revolution
Stalking us quietly in gas prices, foreclosures, medical payments no one can afford
Stalked also by the happy discomfortable girls at Vogue -
Who wait also
As in
All the way around.
