About the Author I have been writing poetry for nearly half a century and host the radio show, Writing on the Air of KOOP Radio (www.koop.org). I am also involved in a number of literary organizations, and am a past President of the Austin Poetry Society. I believe President John F. Kenedy was correct when he said: "When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses." |
